Triple-arch road bridge over Owenbaun River, built c. 1800, having rubble sandstone walls with rendered copings to parapets. Dressed sandstone V-cutwaters to south elevation. Ordnance Survey benchmark to south parapet wall. Dressed sandstone voussoirs to segmental arches.

Rathcool Bridge forms a strong, rhythmical silhouette in the landscape. The bridge is well-designed and executed, and is indicative of the skill of early nineteenth-century craftsmen and engineers. The dressed voussoirs set against rubble sandstone add textural interest to the bridge.
