What is recorded here
Detached three-bay two-storey former railway station, built c. 1862, with projecting gabled central bay and single-storey wings to north and west. Now in use as a hotel. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Square and round-headed timber sash windows. Extension to the rear. Stone gate piers to site.
This former railway station forms part of an interesting group of related structures with the former signal box, warehouse and bridge to the site. Though many of the original features and materials have been replaced, the building retains the original form of the entrance elevation and timber sash windows.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
