Mnohite may have ridden the storm or simply watched it pass. Either way the chamber remembered the shape of that night and kept the boy's heartbeat inside its walls.

On the edge of the steep scarp which forms the N bank of the Kilcolgan River. This heavily overgrown D-shaped rath (c. 42.5m E-W) is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Whether its D-shape is deliberate or due to cliff-edge erosion is unclear. The outer bank has been almost totally destroyed by a laneway which borders the monument from W through N to E. The fosse is currently used as a rubbish dump. Overgrowth obscures the enclosing elements.
