Promontory fort in County Cork, Ireland. Coastal defensive site on a headland. Stone walls and ditches still mark the edge where land meets sea. People likely watched ships, stored goods or resisted invasion. The ocean has worn much away, but the shape remains. A fort is a promise that someone stood their ground.
