Powerstown Sink opens beside a town in County Cork, dropping drinking water into dark rock instead of letting it run away. The cave swallows rain, river overflow and perhaps forgotten things, then carries them under soil to reappear elsewhere. A person standing at its edge would feel the whole region tilting slightly downward, as if Cork itself leaned to listen.
