What is recorded here
Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, installed c.1890, having raised lettering including V.R. royal cipher and insignia, set in rubble stone wall.
The simple raised lettering and crown motif add artistic interest to this otherwise functional item. Cast-iron post boxes such as this are becoming increasingly rare throughout Ireland.
