What is recorded here
Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, c.1880, with VR royal cipher and crown motif. Now disused. Set in rendered side wall of building.
The modest form of this post box is enhanced by the simple and well designed lettering and royal cipher which add artistic interest. Though now disused, this feature continues to make an attractive addition to the streetscape of Harbour Street.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
