What is recorded here

Cast-iron post box attached to timber post, erected c. 1950, with 'P&T' Gaelic script cast in relief.
Attractive example of mid-twentieth century mass-produced cast-iron street furniture. The raised Celtic Revival-style script dates from a time when Ireland was re-establishing a national identity following the foundation of the Independent State.
