Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, c.1905, with Edward VII royal insignia and makers mark. Rectangular aperture and display panel.

A well designed post boxes whose simple functional form is enhanced by the swirling insignia. It serves as a reminder of early twentieth century Ireland, when the country was still under British rule. Post boxes of this time period are becoming increasingly rare.
