Freestanding cylindrical cast-iron pillar-box, erected c.1905. Royal insignia of Edward VII and crown to main body, with moulded neck and domed cap with fluted edge.
This Edward VII post box is simple in design with decorative detailing on cap and pillar. The execution of the elaborate intertwined raised lettering and crown adds artistic interest to this functional object.
