What is recorded here

Two angled wooden pegs still stand in the Baunmore peatland, perhaps the last bones of a longer platform that carried people across wet ground before peat cutting removed the rest. They are small, worn and easy to overlook, yet they preserve a moment when someone refused to wade and built a way through instead. The bog has taken nearly everything else, but those two tilted timbers keep the shape of human patience alive.

Two roundwood pegs (L 0.73-1.7m; diam. 0.07-0.09m) with worked ends, 0.77m apart, angled towards each other, in a poor state of preservation. Possibly the substructure of a more substantial platform (Wth 1.83m; D 0.5m; L 8m) which has been milled away.
