
What is recorded here
This site was excavated prior to development of a housing estate (Licence no. 04E0903). A series of circular pits very similar in form and size were excavated and six sherds of medieval pottery were retrieved from the upper fills of the pits. The pits were truncated by post-medieval furrow activity (Halliday 2004, 13).
