What is recorded here

Three stone mooring jetties projecting from promenade wall, equally spaced, built c. 1880. East and west jetties rectangular on plan, central jetty with triangular protrusion to north containing concrete sewer outfall. Rubble limestone stone walls, irregular limestone paving, roughly-dressed limestone steps at upstream and downstream ends. Located on south bank of Garavogue River, rubble limestone walls to roadside between openings.
These little mooring jetties are still in use. They add variety and texture to a pleasing riverside environment.
