Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cleaveragh Demesne is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cleaveragh Demesne, County Sligo, Ireland. Crowning a low but prominent elevation on the SE edge of Sligo Town, the site drops gradually east toward the Garvoge River and looks north across the Dartry Mountains. A broad earthen bank encloses a circular area about thirty metres wide, while a shallow fosse marks the northern arc. Beech, chestnut, sycamore and hawthorn trees now occupy the interior and perimeter, partially hiding the earthworks from view.

Crowning a low but prominent elevation, with a gradual fall of ground for c. 500m to E to the banks of the Garvoge River. Formerly the demesne land of Cleveragh Estate, the location is now a public park, on the SE edge of Sligo Town. There are excellent views N to the Dartry Mountains. Slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by a broad earthen bank, with an external fosse evident on the N arc. The rath is largely engulfed in overgrowth, which impedes examination. Beech and chestnut trees were planted in the interior, and sycamores and hawthorn trees ringing the perimeter. The enclosing bank appears as a broad earthen rise (Wth c. 5.5m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 1.6m, at N), with a pronounced external slope, and a low, broadly slumped internal slope, merging seamlessly with the interior to give the rath a saucer-like profile. Outside the bank on the N arc, there is a fosse, evident as a broad, shallow depression (Wth 5-6m).
