Penitential station in Glensleade

On a SE-facing slope in a damp field of rushes, 16m north of a natural spring well and pond. A small circular stone structure (diam. c. 3.2m; H 0.4-0.6m) inside a larger oval one (7m E-W; 6m N-S; H 0.8m). There is a gap in the outer ring at E marking a possible entrance. This may be a penitential station associated with the holy well or it may be the well itself. There are no structural remains at the pond or any evidence of veneration.
