What is recorded here

Situated on S facing slope of a ridge running NW-SE in modern forestry plantation. Earthwork (WM012-008----) 120m to W. Lough Derravarragh 470m to E. A sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 28m N-S) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone ( max. H 1m) and a shallow external fosse with entrance gap at SE (Wth. 3.3m). The interior slopes sharply from NE-SW. Field banks running NE-SW intersect the perimeter of the monument at N and S. The site is now in inside an area of modern coniferous forestry.
