What is recorded here

Situated on S facing slope of steep summit, with good views of the surrounding gently undulating countryside. Ringfort (WM012-057---) 130m to NW, ringfort (WM012-058---) 135m to ESE. No surface remains visible of levelled monument on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. Upstanding monument described in 1975 as a large sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 36m N-S; 39m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is fragmentary and best preserved from NW-N (H 1m). The fosse has been infilled in several places and the outer bank is low and only visible from NW-N. The interior slopes slightly to NE. The perimeter has been quarried away at SE. A modern field fence running N-S intersects the E side of the monument.
