What is recorded here

Situated on a steep rocky hillock, in rough, undulating pasture. Ringfort (WM024-160----) lies c. 105m to N. Monument described in 1971 as a small roughly circular-shaped area enclosed by a bank which is almost reduced to a scarp which appears to have been steepened all the way round in relatively modern times. There is no definite trace of an external fosse. No entrance feature visible. The interior rises gently from the perimeter towards the centre. Modern field fences intersect the scarp at W and ESE. The monument is largely obscured by dense vegetation. A house site (WM024-159001-) is visible in the NE quadrant. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. Date of upload: 28 August 2019
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
