Half a circle, cut clean by the railway. The missing half is not lost, only relocated into the track bed. A man could have stood inside the curve and felt the whole shape because the land still remembers the angle. Measurement does not complete it. Presence does.

Located in pasture on top of a low rise between drumlins to the N and S. It is indicated as a D-shaped area truncated by a railway line at S only on the revised 1944 edition of the OS 6-inch map, and described in 1944 as a D-shaped platform (dims c. 35m E-W; c. 20m N-S) with the remnant of a bank on the W side (OSFM). No archaeological feature is visible at ground level, but was probably a rath. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J.
