What is recorded here

Situated on ESE facing slope of a low rise in grassland, surrounded by poorly drained land. The ground rises to the W and S of the site, and views are restricted. A trapezoidal shaped area (approx. dims. 23m N-S; 34m E-W) depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map is enclosed by a bank of earth and stone with an entrance gap (Wth 2m) at WNW, and a second entrance gap (Wth 3.5m) at W. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible crossing the interior from ESE-WNW. A chapel site (WM012-082---) is located in W quadrant of the enclosure. A larger outer roughly oval-shaped enclosure (approx. diam. 125m NE-SW x 200m E-W) is visible on the Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
