A holy well situated inside a modern circular enclosure. It is still in use and is situated in excellent land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. Linked to Saint Cormac, the well is traditionally associated with cures for eye ailments and general healing. The site reflects a long-standing Christian and pre-Christian tradition of water worship in Ireland, with the surrounding enclosure possibly marking a later attempt to preserve or define the sacred space.
