Seven ogham stones stand at Killeen Cormac, but one emerged from burial to mark the entrance again. Its chisel-cut scores still claim a son of a lost tribe, though fracture and time erased the names at both ends. The stone does not argue with its own damage; it waits for the missing words to return in memory.

One of seven ogham stones (KD032-044001- to KD032-044007-) recorded by Macalister (1945, 26-7 (22 – No. IV)) at 'Killeen Cormac' burial ground (KD032-044----). This stone was found buried and was re-erected inside the modern entrance to the burial ground. According to Macalister (op. cit.), 'The stone has chisel-cut scores and the beginning and end of the inscription is missing. The inscription reads ...EGNI KOI MAQI MUC[..] A[.]I.. A fracture on the corner has carried off the OI' of a probable MUCOI.' A roughly rectangular lichen covered, earthfast stone (H 1.2m; Wth 0.5m E-W; T 0.3m) has the ogham inscription on its NE corner. The N and S faces of the stone are uneven, while the E and W ends have a smoother finish.
