What is recorded here
Situated on the floor of a slight N-S valley c. 10m W of a small NW-SE stream, and on the E side of a NE-SW road. The well is rectangular with a concrete vaulted canopy surmounted by a cross. The arched opening on the NE side has a plaque over it inscribed ‘St. Bridget’s Well. 1862). Locally it is held to perform cures if visited nine times, but there is no information on the well’s origin.
