Northumberland

The *Northumberland* was a 19th-century British warship, lost in 1845 near the Isle of Wight after striking a reef; all 650 crew members perished, making it one of the worst British naval disasters of the 19th century. The wreck remains a protected site under the National Heritage List for England.
