Gateway, extant 1901, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of tuck pointed margined granite ashlar piers having pyramidal capping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Mount Saint Benedict.
A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 15700620) with the resulting ensemble making a picturesque visual statement in a rural street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Mount Saint Benedict estate.
