In rear garden of Mooresfort House to SW of courtyard. Roughly circular area (dims. 20m NE-SW; 21m NW-SE) defined by gentle scarp (Wth 9.6m; H 1.9m) all around. Interior higher in centre and falling gently on all sides to the scarp. Scarp (Wth 9.5m; H 1.3m) least defined at SSE where uniform slope of interior falls evenly to exterior. Neolithic passage tomb, dating to approximately 3500–2500 BCE. Its significance lies in representing an early form of communal burial and ritual practice, typical of Neolithic Ireland.
