Mound in Goldenhill

Situated at the top of Golden Hill. Circular domed mound (diam. 8m; H 0.5m), in very poor condition. Herity (1974, 257) suggests it may be a passage tomb. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Neolithic passage tomb, dating to approximately 3500–2500 BCE. Its location on Golden Hill suggests it may have been part of a broader ritual or funerary landscape, though its poor condition limits further interpretation.
