What is recorded here
In pasture, on a narrow wedge of low-lying ground between the River Deel to the E and a tributary stream to the W. A circular flat-topped mound (H 1.1m; 13.9m N-S; 12.9m E-W) which is covered by grass that is heavily poached by cattle. Skirting the base of the mound at E is an earthen bank constructed to prevent the river flooding this area. According to the landowner the mound is known locally as a burial ground.
