Quarries bit through the mound and took it, leaving only a gap where the marshy valley floor once held a circular shadow. The castle and bawn of Castletown still stand nearby, but the mound has joined the lost things that stop resisting measurement.

In marshy land on a valley floor. The castle (KK003-004001-) and bawn (KK003-004002-) of Castletown are located c. 65m to the NNE. Identified as a roughly circular feature (c. 10m) on aerial photograph (CUCAP, AIG 23, 1963), defined by a fosse. when inspected in 1987 it was not visible at ground level. It has subsequently been quarried out.

A roughly circular mound, likely a Neolithic burial tomb; its significance is not clearly established due to limited identification and context.
