Morris Castle

Ruins

What is recorded here

Morris Castle vanished from a Wexford hillside because men quarried its last standing wall for building stone. It belonged to the O'Morchoe family, yet even the Civil Survey of 1654-6 passed the castle by while naming their land. The slope and small stream still mark the place where human pride was reduced to road material.
Morris Castle is recorded as a ruins in County Wexford. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
