What is recorded here
Wall-mounted cut-limestone memorial, c.1925, with inscription, and moulded cornice having profiled capping. Set into rubble stone section of dry stone wall fronting on to road.
An attractive memorial forming a subtle feature in the street scene on the road leading in to Passage East from the south. The carved detailing enhances the artistic design quality of the piece, and attests to high quality stone masonry and craftsmanship. The memorial is of particular significance in the locality for its associations with Sean Ivory (d. 1923).
