Mogeely Church (in Ruins) — Report the wrong picture

In centre of graveyard (CO066-03401-), fragmentary remains of rectangular church (c. 18.6m E-W; 8.6m N-S). W wall entirely gone; remaining walls in poor structural condition and ivy-clad. Part of W ingoing of doorway near W end of S wall; collapsed central ope in E wall, described by Coleman (1907-9d) as 'two-light lancet window intact'. Many chest tombs and headstones in interior, Coleman (ibid) notes inscriptions dated 1701 & 1704 here. Parish church of Mogeely which, according to Lewis (1837, vol. 2,13), 'was destroyed in the war of 1641'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
