In rocky area, overlooking Ballymacooly Glen to W. No visible surface trace of castle marked 'in ruins' on 1842 OS 6-inch map. The site may have been associated with the White family (Healy 1988, 129).

Possibly held by the White family in the 19th century, Castle (Site of), Crowbally is remembered for its strategic location overlooking Ballymacooly Glen and its mention in early Ordnance Survey maps.
