This square-shaped enclosure in Leslie's Wood is adjacent to St Patrick's Terrace and is known as 'Stranavaun' (Sruthán an Mhúin, streamlet of the urine; originally the name of a streamlet, now closed up, according to a local informant). The external height of the inner bank above the fosse measures c 3m, the internal height of the bank above the interior .5m, and the width of the bank c 8m. The entrance would appear to be on the S side. It measures 4m wide at its inner bank and 6m at the outer bank. A slight causeway can be seen over the fosse, measuring 6m in width. According to Kerrigan (1980) the principal period of construction or occupation of this type of enclosure was between 1641-59. Dingle.
