What is recorded here
On wet, low-lying ground. A subrectangular area (48.3m NNE-SSW; 32.7m WNW-ESE) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.2m; H 0.1-0.35m) with a wide, deep, intervening fosse (Wth 4.1m; D 1.45m) and a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.5m; H 0.7m). There is much disturbance by quarrying, particularly at ESE and SSW. The original entrance is not recognisable. Dense overgrowth rendered inspection difficult.
