What is recorded here
According to Lyons (1937, 247) an 'actual moated grange on the English model, with a revetted ditch, seems to have existed at Clonacody, a little north of Lisronagh, but only a portion of the ditch remains'. Barry (1977, 167) mentions that of the moated site at Clonacody 'there are the remains of one of the sides'. This monument remains unlocated within the townland.
