Moated site in Ardnageehy — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Ardnageehy holds a square moated platform forty-two metres across, buried in low pasture where water still fills three sides. The southern entrance, once a causeway two and a half metres wide, has vanished beneath abandoned machinery and thick growth. A second moated site waits one hundred and seventy metres to the west, suggesting a small cluster of defended homes rather than a lonely exception. The water did not retreat; it was redirected. Modern drains now carry the ancient flow northward, past the infilled fosse, converting a boundary into a hidden plumbing system for the farm above.

In low-lying pasture. Square platform (42m N-S; 41m E-W) enclosed by wide waterfilled fosse to E, S and W; fosse dry to N and mainly infilled. Causewayed entrance (Wth 2.5m) to S now blocked by abandoned farm machinery and overgrown. Modern drain beyond infilled fosse to N fed by drain which extends from W fosse.
