Detached two-bay two-storey stone former mill, built 1786, with date plaque on south elevation. Mill stone and machinery to interior. Elements of the mill wheel remain, with mill race flowing through. Lean-to stone and concrete outbuilding to south.
This former miil is of particular interest due to the survival of the mill stone, machinery and remains of the mill wheel. It is unusual to find these features in situ today. This former mill formed part of a large industrial complex, which comprised of two mills and their associated buildings. The plaque on the southern elevation states: 'Built by Jo.n Henry A.D. 1786'. He is also responsible for the establishment of the larger adjacent mill.
