Mill

Mill, unclassified

What is recorded here

According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) a castle and manor house (WX011-029----), and a mill at Cloghneskin (Clogh) were owned by William Plunkett, a Protestant, in 1641. He owned 2000 acres in Liskinfere parish, at Cloghneskin & Cane, Tobernerine, Ballincurry & Moynsleave, Ballymeanans and Moyngnellan. The location of the mill remains unknown, but it may have been on the site of the corn mill marked on the 1839 and 1924 eds of the OS 6-inch map at the E edge of the townland.
