What is recorded here

Carved limestone milestone, c.1840, set in rendered rubble limestone wall.
This milestone has a positive impact on the streetscape, especially as it forms part of an interesting group of street furniture with the cast-iron water pump to the east. Visual and textural contrast is provided by the pale carved limestone and its setting in the rubble limestone wall. It records the distance of 33 miles from Moynalty to Dublin via Carlanstown.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
