What is recorded here

Cast-iron water pump, c.1900, with square panelled shaft having fluted cap, finial and circular manufacturer's name plaque. Enclosed by rendered walls and set on a concrete base.
This cast-iron water pump is square in plan, rather than the more common circular plan. The panelled shaft, fluted cap and finial add artistic detailing to this utilitarian item. It forms part of an interesting group of street furniture with the milestone to the west.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
