What is recorded here

Freestanding cut-granite milestone, erected c.1780, on roadside. Inscribed (north): "L:KENNY/14/DUNFANAGHY/4½"; (east): "CREESH/LAGH/1 ½"; (west): "ARDS/1½".
This milestone is a fine example of an early signpost associated with the development of the road transport network in Ireland in the late eighteenth century. It is in good condition and gives distances to Letterkenny, Dunfanaghy, Creeslough and Ards.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
