Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin

Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin was born in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland, on 10 December 1950. He became a pianist, composer and academic who founded the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick in 1994. His life bridged traditional Irish music and formal education, carrying the sound of that small town into universities and concert halls across the world.
