Father Hubert Cahill paid for the Kildacomock cemetery walls in 1649, carving his own prayer into the southern gateway plaque. He asked passersby to remember a vicar who believed death belonged inside a visible boundary rather than outside it. The small limestone block still stands beside its northern partner, turning a local burial ground into a place where one man's pride and faith remain exposed to rain.

Flanking the gateway in the E wall of a graveyard (LF022-032001-). The is the S example (H 0.55m; Wth 0.55m) of two limestone plaques. The inscription, carved in Roman capitals in relief, reads 'ORA PRO RO P. HVBE/RTO CAHILL VICCA/RIO DE KILDACOMO/CK ET SHRVER QVI/ HOS MVROS CAMI/TERM KILDA[COMOCK]ENSIS/ SUIS EXPENSIS/ FIERI FECIT/ ADNI 1649' (Pray for reverend father Hubert Cahill, vicar of Kildacomock and Shrule, who had these walls of the cemetery of Kildacomock made at his own expense in the year of our Lord 1649).
