This fireplace lintel or window head (L 1.48m; H 0.38m) with an eliptical arch has the date 1627 and the initials BC and BL carved in false relief on one face. Found on farmland, it is now incorporated into an outhouse doorway. (McGrath 1976) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
