What is recorded here

In grassland, situated on a S-facing slope of rising ground in upland region with good views from E through S to W, higher ground to N. According to OPW correspondence (July 1938) within an enclosure (TS054-020001-) there was 'a large stone with smaller stones near by which may have been a dolmen'. No visible remains of any megalithic structure associated with this enclosure, probably destroyed when the enclosure was levelled. Field boundary running NW-SE which intersected the enclosure on its NE side has been removed and monument was probably levelled when field boundary was being removed.
