The oldest chamber in Lurgan is buried inside the newer church, a mausoleum with a surviving barrel vault and a destroyed light in the west wall. It sits on a drumlin ridge where the dead were kept before the living rebuilt around them. The chamber is narrow, long and shadowed, more like a forgotten room than a grave.

Situated on a rise on the NE-facing slope of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. The parish church of Lurgan (CV039-067----) has the remains of a mausoleum (int. dims 6.85m NE-SW; 3.6m NW-SE) incorporated into the NW end of the church. A portion of the NE-SW barrel-vault (H 2.15m plus) survives and it has a destroyed light in the SW wall. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 9 August 2023
