A small roughly circular spring well with remains of drystone facing. Situated at the foot of a hillock. A second holy well (CV039-052----) lies 80m to NNE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). Linked to Saint Brigid, the well is traditionally associated with healing and fertility, with pilgrims historically visiting to seek cures for barrenness and general wellness. The site's location near another holy well suggests a possible early Christian or prehistoric ritual landscape.
