Kilmore’s mass-rock is a broad flat slab resting on another, sheltered by living rock and marked by a small rectangular hollow in its centre. It stands beside an old burial ground and a hidden passage, suggesting worship, memory and concealment all belonged in one place. People may have gathered there when open ceremony became dangerous, using the rock as an altar and the earth as a witness.

In rock outcropping to N of possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (CO081-038----), burial ground (CO081-003----) and Man-made underground passage (CO081-035----). Large slab (3.15m x 2.3m; T c. 0.3m) resting on second similar slab. Sheltered on N side by outcropping rock. Natural, roughly rectangular hollow (0.5m x 0.5m; D 0.19m) in centre of large flat slab.
