Detached five-bay two-storey over part raised basement country house, c.1790. Segmental-headed central door opening in tripartite arrangement approached by flight of five steps between iron railings, doorcase with pilasters on plinths supporting ogee-detailed open bed pediment on dosserets, timber panelled door having hub-and-spoke fanlight and sidelights. Square-headed window openings with six-over-six timber sash windows.
Maryville House is an important country house similar in appearance to the contemporary Fort Etna (see 21901243).
